Just okay
I'm definitely in the minority here but I hate this book so much that I can't even finish it. Can someone please explain how doing all the things that were done to the female children in this book can be considered as erotic.
I was introduced to this genre about 6 years ago and have read some pretty way out there books. But the one thing they all had in common was that all the charecters were ADULTS, some consenting, some not so much, but all adults. I've read some BDSM that was so extreme that I had to put it aside, read something else then come back to it. But again, all characters were adults. When I start a book and don't even get half way through it and you have someone beating a 14 year old child's bare behind until it's flaming or read of the females to this small country "being forced to have her bottom cleansed every week of her life" how can you possible call this book "HOT". The females in this book didn't choose to explore this life style, they were literally beaten into submission. And punished with spankings if they balked at doing whatever the male wanted.
The stopping point was when the eldest daughter (18 years old) was forced to endure a "bottom cleansing" with several bags of liquid, the placed above a white towel and admonished by the governess to hold it for 10 minutes or she would be punished it the towel was no longer white when she returned. This is one book that most definitely will NOT be revisited.
Fantasy is what this was. I have read a lot of books within the era of Mideval times and a lot of these practices were carried out in the same fashion but these people got carried away and had their own kind of fun!
The only Dislike i have is that,just as you get hooked on the story...it's over. and it is very addictive.
This is one HOT story. It is well written, detailed and erotic. If you like these kind of stories, you need to add this to your collection.
It was facinating from a historical point of view but ended FAR too quickly.
I don't know what goes on in the mind of a person who writes something like this. But viv la difference.
This book was recommended to me when I purchased "After Hours A BDSM Fantasy" from the same publisher and thought, "Why not?" It's a good price and as it turns out I got more than I bargained for.
Unlike "After Hours," this book is set in 1920's-era England where a poor young thing named Amanda is taken by her controlling fiancé to a physician for a pre-marital checkup. You've never seen a more sinister bunch than what's at this doctor's office. Think Dr. Evil (only serious and better looking) and Nurse Ratchett with a sex drive. The detail of what's done to Amanda is delicious or excruciating, depending on your tolerance. From spankings to enemas, she's giving a working over that should have her eating an apple a day afterwards, just to keep the doctor away.
But somehow, it's all kind of sexy in a nihilistic, escapist kind of way. If you're not into this stuff, reading about it is kind of like watching a kinky train wreck. You won't be able to stop reading. If you're into torturous medical humiliation, though, you'll start right back at the beginning once you've reached the end because yes, it is just THAT explicit.
I give it a high rating because it is wonderfully written, which is one thing I require from any genre. Good writing can be rare in erotica, but this writer is excellent. You can almost feel what the character is going through. Again, that's going to be good or bad depending on what your tastes are.
